Before & After

Insulating Devils Triangle in Oceanport, NJ

This homeowner’s Cape Cod style house in Oceanport, NJ suffered from inadequate insulation and air leakage on the second floor. The owner’s conditioned room had cold drafts in the winter and a hot stuffy room in the summer. After properly insulating both kneewalls our team can now focus on the devils triangle. First things first, we air sealed the devils triangles floor or conditioned rooms ceiling in the attic with orange ZypFoam. Next the roof slopes are dense packed with TruSoft cellulose insulation to stop air flow and insulate. Finally, the flat ceiling (the devils triangles floor) is insulated with TruSoft cellulose insulation to an R-value of R-60. We properly insulated the devils triangle and the owner now has a house that is more comfortable and energy efficient.
