Crawl Entrance
Crawl entrance is right in the utility area near garage, open to rest of house.
Before Encapsulation
Signs of moisture and an odor were evident throughout the crawlspace.
Torn Duct Insulation
With the crawlspace unprotected, this insulation deficiency allows the ducts to sweat and allow crawlspace air into your home.
Unprotected Rim Joist
Wood holds an R-Value of under 1.5 per inch of thickness so the rim joist allows a lot of outside air into he crawl.
Dimple Drainage Mat
Drainage mat is installed under CleanSpace liner to provide a thermal break from the floor, so the liner is not directly touching it. It also allows any water to move freely under the liner to properly drain to the sump pump while keeping the crawlspace sealed and safe.
Encapsulated Crawlspace
CleanSpace liner covers the crawlspace floor, accounting for the terrain such as pipes and support features.
Ducts Now Safe
With the crawl encapsulated the ducts are no longer at risk to the outside air causing them to sweat or getting inside them.
Second Crawl Access
Hole created in wall after second crawl was discovered to gain access to seal second crawlspace.
